⚡ Canva goes after Adobe users with work tools to speed up growth

Canva Inc. has launched a new suite of design tools for enterprise users, aiming to attract some of Adobe Inc.’s largest customers. At an event in Los Angeles, Canva introduced features tailored for teams in HR, sales, and design. These tools make it easier to tweak graphics and text to keep everything on-brand and let users pull up templates with a single click.

Expanding beyond the consumer market, Canva is stepping into Adobe’s territory. With a valuation of $26 billion, Canva is leveraging the AI boom to speed up growth. “We are bringing that exact same approach to enterprise as we have done with the consumer market,” said CEO Melanie Perkins. “A platform that’s really easy to understand and use is critical.”

Founded just over a decade ago, Canva has become a serious rival to Adobe. It recently acquired the Affinity suite and introduced AI tools for video and photo editing, used over 6.5 billion times since October.

While Adobe dominates with tools like Photoshop, antitrust issues have hampered its growth. Canva, on the other hand, has seen rapid growth, hitting $2.3 billion in annual revenue with over 185 million active users.

Canva’s growth is driven by word-of-mouth, aiming to lead in visual communication for both pros and everyday users. With a new platform redesign, Canva is set to challenge Adobe and other big players. Canva’s bold moves signal its intent to continue shaking up the design software market. 🚀
